Here it is, Fall of 2010, and it seems it was January just yesterday. My, but time does fly by doesn’t it. We have been terribly busy so far this year and have just recently returned from Seaford, Delaware. While there we helped Delmarva Teen Challenge with their graduation by providing the Praise music for the ceremony. The guys there were very open to praising His Holy Name, and the staff were excited to hear the praises go upward to Jesus Christ our Lord. We also ministered there during the week before. Several churches had us to minister to their congregations and several altars filled up with a lot of prayers sent Heavenward. At our home church, Bethel Worship Center in Seaford, a surprising miracle was performed in one Sunday evening service: Gracie (our little Miniature Schnauzer) came up on the podium during the altar call. She walked all the way down to the end of the line, sniffing, but not touching, each person as she went. She walked back around a third of the way back and sniffed one man, then she kissed him on the forehead. He looked up and said “thank you” and patted her on the head. Gracie then walked over and sat at Pastor Joe’s feet until the service ended. The very next day this particular man went to his doctor and was diagnosed CANCER FREE! He had been suffering with leukemia for quite some time and came to the altar every time it was opened in service. THANK GOD FOR HIS GREAT MERCY, HEALING POWER, AND LOVE!
At this time, we are working toward our Christmas gift giveaway which was changed to “GTW CHRISTMAS” which will be held in Etowah, Tennessee on the first Saturday after Thanksgiving. We will be giving out shoebox gifts to each child that will include a Bible as the most important gift. A concert will be held the evening following the giveaway which will highlight the following ministries: The Good News Tour, from Delaware; Lily of the Valley (Jerry Oakes), from Cleveland, Ohio; Marla Ratliff from Tennessee and Polly Salmons from Tennessee. We will be opening and closing the concert which will begin at 6:30 PM at Piney Community Church in Etowah, Tennessee. A hot dog meal will also be given to each child at the giveaway during the day.
